Keep Twitter Card on for X support, then copy the generated tags and paste them into the
of your page.Everything you need to know about the Open Graph Generator.
Open Graph (OG) tags are special meta tags that tell social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Slack exactly what title, description and image to display when someone shares your link. Without them, platforms guess โ often badly โ so adding OG tags gives you full control over how your content appears.
Fill in the title, description, URL and an image link, choose the content type and add your site name. Keep the Twitter Card option enabled to also create tags for X. The live preview shows your share card, and you copy the generated tags into the <head> section of your page.
Use a 1200ร630 pixel image (a 1.91:1 ratio) for the best results across platforms. Keep the file under about 5MB and use an absolute HTTPS URL, since social networks cannot read relative paths or local files.
Open Graph covers most platforms, and X (Twitter) can fall back to OG tags. However, adding dedicated Twitter Card tags gives you finer control on X, such as choosing a large image card. This tool generates both at once so you are covered everywhere.
Social platforms cache link previews. After updating your tags, use the platformโs debugging tool โ such as the Facebook Sharing Debugger or the LinkedIn Post Inspector โ to re-scrape your URL and refresh the cached preview.
